Cabot C-nooooooo!!-ve.

Did you know that Murder, She Wrote was filmed north of San Francisco, in Mendocino?

(source)

A little shocking, yes, but not all that surprising.

But this.. may shock you.

Give me your hand.

(reaches out hand)

No. Seriously. It's fine.

(...)

 Ok... Cabot Cove....

Wait.

For.

It.

DOESN'T ACTUALLY EXIST.

No! It doesn't! I'm totally serious!

I KNOW!!

NO! I WILL NOT SIT DOWN!

And GET THIS:

The town "Cabot Cove," which isn't even real, is based off a town, in Maine, named
 Boothbay Harbor.

Boothbay Harbor.

Yeah.

BOOTHBAY.

HARBOR.

Exactly. WTF?

Ok.... Ok.

I think I get it.

Cabot Cove sounds like a fluffy softened cheese sanctuary filled with stuffed animals and sweetened mint tea. You want to dive into that, and know you'll safely solve murders.

Boothbay Harbor sounds like a place your parent's told you not to go to, but you do anyway (peer pressure is real), and now you can't get the smell of fish out of your hair (because your hair is really porous, OK?!) and you'll never listen to REO Speedwagon again (but let's face it, if you had a choice, you probably wouldn't do that anyway).
You're accused of murder in Boothbay Harbor.

(source)

Ok. So. Where are we?

Mendocino, CA is where the show was filmed.
Boothbay Harbor is what it's pretending to be.
And, Cabot Cove it what we're calling it.

And Cabot Cove is where my fantasy loving head shall lay.
On that fluffy soft mint tea pillow.

And you know what?
We're going to be fine, guys,
We're going to be fine.
Because we love this show.
And there are millions of episodes for us to enjoy, obsess over and binge on.

Am I right?

Happy watching, Cabot C-lovers!

"Murder, She Wrote," she wrote.

If you're like me, you recently discovered that Netflix added
ALL of the Murder, She Wrote episodes to it's streaming library.

And, if you're like me, you also were like
"O.M.G. I'm gonna binge watch the Cabot Cove out of that!"

I was a twerp growing up -
Murder, She Wrote was sooooo lame
and bored me to exaggerated, angsty sighs.
My mom loved her some MSW. She would watch it and do her "exercises,"
which consisted of her marching in place and waving her arms around.
She'd work up a pretty wicked glisten doing that.
("Gah Ma!")
I know now my mom had it goin' on!
Callanetics while watching MSW??
Sign. Me. Up.

If you're a Fletcherphile,
HOLLER!

If you're a newbie,
holler to you too!
And, here's a brief run down of what the hype is all about:

Jessica Fletcher is a widow, award-winning mystery novel writer and Cabot Cove resident,
who enjoys riding her bike with no helmet, a morning jog in her sweatsuit,
and a good Dandelion wine around 2pm.
She is the most gracious guest you will ever host, and she'll also help solve
the fatal stabbing that occurred in your upstairs guest bedroom,
because as long as you have Jessica Fletcher in your life,
you'll be exposed to many a murder.

Girlfriend is surrounded by it.
Whether she's traveling, does anything in or outside of Cabot Cove, or is visiting the one million nieces and nephews she has, someone is bound to be killed.
But just as Jessica bringeth the murder, she'll taketh it away,
by bringingith the justice faster than
any P.I., Marshall, Sergeant, or Lieutenant put on the case.

You would think that someone exposed to so much horror would be a bit jaded,
but not the Fletch!
It ain't no thang.

She is one cool cucumber.

So sit back,
grab your dated cocktail, and let's enjoy some sweet murder,
because super sleuth J.B. Fletcher is gonna definitely solve all of the cases.
And if she won't?
It's probably a two-parter, and she'll solve it in the next episode.

Stay tuned friends!

More MURDER to come...
